Forest Farm in the Making

The forested acreage part of this farm is available to the right farm entrepreneur. It consists of 23 usable forested acres. The farm has good potential for forest farming and other agroforestry enterprises. Terms are negotiable. We are willing to provide assistance with labor and management, if desired. The types of forest farming enterprises that might be possible here include wild harvested ramps, forest grown herbs and medicinal plants, ornamentals like red- twig dogwood, and specialty berries like elderberries and saskatoons and log grown mushrooms. I realize all of these ( except the ramps and dogwood, which already exist)  take a longtime to establish as crops, so the incoming grower(s) would require a long, stable land use agreement.

The total acreage is 80 with about 40 currently in pasture and hay.
